Kids and Vets.com has several objectives. But the most important of all is to let children with cancer and families of those children and veterans who have lost a limb in combat or have been seriously wounded and their familes know we care.
Secondly whatever economic relief we can provide will be distributed with good intent
with no illusions about its long term effect. Our minimum goal is to provide one good day. Our hope is much greater but we realize we don’t have the resources to change the world contributing to a cancer solution or can with a miracle bring a lost limb back to a war veteran.
We intend to isolate individual situations within these two groups and with the aid of a major children’s hospital specializing in pediatric cancer and two veterans groups aiding paraplegics find individuals who may be challenged financially and physically and help them through a “rough spot” in their life.
This may be as simple as providing a hotel room for parents while visiting their child in the hospital. It may be arranging a flight for a soldier and his family to attend Travis Mills incredible facility in Maine designed specifically for paraplegic war vets. Or it may mean arranging a trip for paraplegic war vets in Montana to recreate in the form of hunting and/or fishing.

Travismills.org
Travis and his organization provides support to re-calibrated veterans through long term programs to help these men and women overcome physical obstacles created by a loss of limb or limbs in combat. They provided 74 completely all inclusive all expense paid barrier free vacations to their Maine retreat in 2017. In 2018 they expect to increase that number to . We have already had experience with Travis and
can assure you he is one of the most incredible people you will ever meet. We have
been a contributor in the past and intend to increase our involvement in 2018.
Montana Wounded Warriors is a unique organization not affiliated with the national group. 100 per cent of all funds donated to this group goes to the veteran. To qualify each veteran must have at least 30% disability. They like us, are not in the business of trying to change the world. They provide all inclusive hunting and fishing trips to vets who otherwise may not have the resources to enjoy this Montana tradition. We have been a contributor in the past and intend to increase our involvement in 2018.
The third organization is one of the largest children cancer hospitals in Texas. Again 100% of what we contribute will go to the child patient or his family. This organization is perfect for us as it has a social worker component attached to the hospital that can readily identify families or patients who may need assistance in one form or another.
We have zero chance to contribute to a cancer solution but we have every opportunity to help a child or their family afflicted with this disease to some form of relief.
